    Elderton Estate Vineyard

    The Elderton Estate Vineyard on the banks of the North Para River in Nuriootpa was originally planted by Samuel Elderton Tolley in 1894.  It remains the powerhouse on what Elderton is built making Command Shiraz, Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon and ‘Ode to Lorraine’ Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot.

    Craneford Vineyard

    This property was purchased in 2007 and is such a beautiful location deep in the Eden Valley ranges.  Originally planted by David Obst and his sons, it was planted with chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and Shiraz.  In 2008 we have planted Marsanne, Rousanne and Zinfandel therefore adding to our Eden Valley experiment.

    Rohrlach Vineyard

    Whilst this vineyard is strictly not owned by the Ashmead family, it has been acquired on a long term lease and is tended to by our own viticulturalist.  The vineyard itself borders Elderton’s icon Nuriootpa property and has some wonderful old Shiraz vines that are around 75 years old.

      Storton Vineyard

      Merv Storton is a very well known Barossa viticulturalist who specialises in growing some of the valley’s best fruit – especially Riesling. His vineyard is located slightly out of the township of Eden Valley.
